My friend, "Bear"

My friend, "Bear", lives up in space. He likes to eat spicy hot stuff like a grown up. He can fly his space shuttle all around the world and even to Chattanooga. He lives in a house that is different than yours. He has a triangle house made of cheese. It has a brown door. He painted his house white all over. He painted his kitchen black. My friend Bear has a little girl named Zoe, you know like Uncle Bri Bri's Zoe? Zoe likes cherry juice and she likes to eat hamburgers. Have you ever seen a movie about washing cars? My friend, Bear has seen one.

(transcribed by ADWA from a conversation I had with Parker this morning.....)

Bring on Utah State!

I guess I'll give this blog thing a shot since Uncle Patty spat some dope words. Still recovering from the shellacking(does this have spell check?) at the hands of the USC Trojans. Feeling like we have a real shot this week! Allie is currently flying to Phoenix where I will meet up with her tommorrow for a quick weekend trip courtesy of the kind folks at True North Custom Publishing. No real big plans while we are there other than enjoying each other and maybe eating some good food! We really enjoyed having the Adams family in Chatty last weekend. Special shoutout to my boy Parker for making it to the first quarter of the Hog game. I wish I had gone to bed then too! Hopefully, the rest of the season will come out better. John, I'm jealous to hear that your getting to coach football. What position do you coach? Also, did I hear an a/v naive in your blog? Testing, testing...1,2...hot mike, hot mike! Hope all of you have a great weekend, me and Rosey momma are going to be kickin tonight at the maple! Seacrest out.

I'm alive! (contrary to popular belief)

This is great! I don't have to worry about invading emails with messages because now if I put my thoughts on our blog -- only those who WANT to read it, will! Yippee.

Okay, enough of that.

I am in gramma heaven -- that's how everyone in the office identifies the time I spend with my grandkids! I'm so thankful for Parker, Will and Josie -- what absolute JOY!

hmmmm....something to say.....Wait -- this pic says it all... It's football season!

Upcoming travel (please pray for me!):
1) Sep 9-10 - Atlanta to see the boys
2) Sep 17-20 - Dallas (EX06 Pastor's conference)
3) Sep 30-Oct 2 - Fayetteville (Eugene Beasley's wedding)
4) Oct 6-8 - St. Louis to see Ann & John's house!
5) Oct 17 - 22 - Portland (GG Pacific Northwest Conference w/Rick Warren, Randy Alcorn, Luis Palau, me:)
6) Oct 29 - Nov 6 - Hawaii (yes, that's right....)

I love you all.
Love,
MOM

Stevedave in the hizzzzouse

Hay everybody, I finally learned how to post on this blog so look out. Pretty soon I'll put up like forty pictures of myself so the blog might actually look good. But seriously, enough about you guys, let's talk about me. We love STL and I just got a job at the seminary doing A/V technical computer kinda stuff. I have also been coaching football as many of you know at Westminster Christian Academy. Screaming at and cussing kids has really worn me out. Sometimes I have to put pads on myself and just teach them a lesson. One of my guys is named Mike Talent and is the son of the U.S. Senator Jim Talent. But we are keepin it real here in the Midwest and are looking forward to family time this fall, as well as Vanderbilt Commodore football. -JPatty-

Missing Persons (another go)

I'm glad Amanda and Alaina have decided to participate, however, there are quite a few members of the fam. who have not and they will remain nameless as of now. Uhhh-hmmm. I was able to picture the events described about Josie and Parker and Will and I loveed it. Our weekend was good. John's team won on Sat 56-6, that was fun. We saw Invincible on Mon. and then proceeded to carry on our usual 2 for 1 deal---which then continued its tradition b/c the second movie was horrible....The Wicker Man, w/ Nicholas Cage is terrible. Anyway, we had a few ladies from my work over for dinner last night. Tonight we are going to our neighbor's for dinner. Believe it or not, we know our neighbors from Knoxville! We took a walk in our neighborhood the other night and walked by a two cars with Knox Co. tags. We decided to introduce ourselves by knocking on their door and to our surprise my friend Leesa opened the door. She and her husband are here for Law school at WASHU. It was a small world that night. We don't have big plans this weekend other than a riverboat cruise for my work....not sure how fun it will be. Hopefully, it will be great.

This is great!!

It was so fun to read Mana's blog!! I can totally picture everything that happened-Parker cracks me up! I often think about and get excited about later on when Josie's personality develops and all three kids are playing together what fun times that will be!! My funny story for the day is that 2 nights ago, Josie had her first blow out of her diaper. She was in my arms and a bit fussy. Then we heard and i felt a big liquidy fart. She quieted down and several minutes later and lifted my hand in the air from underneath her bottom and it was poopy. We had to strip her down and give her a bath as it was everywhere, including on my pants I was wearing. Also, she had a blowout in the car today. I had to change her in the back seat and feed as all in the post office parking lot this morning. Crazy crazy!! alaina

Back from Chatt...

Hey! This is pretty cool Ann. And since we are such the techgirlz:).....(a cell phone conference call can take 40 min to hook up) Anyway, me and the boys are back from Chatt. Had an awesome time....it was pretty much a vacation as we were there 5 nights!!! My camera broke so I do not have pictures to share, but maybe mom would be so kind......
Friday Allie, me and the boys went to Starbucks (actually Will took a nap in the car while we drank coffee and Parker had 1 vanilla and 1 chocolate milk). While at Starbucks we sat outside (to keep an eye on sleeping Will) and Parker made friends with a man sitting by himself. He was about 70 years old or so and had just had surgery on his foot or something. Parker was VERY curious about this and what had happened. Parker gave the man the third degree including trying to figure out how he could drive around? The guy explained his wife as coming to pick him up and then there were more questions including "Is your wife a boy or girl?" He patiently answered, "A girl, but you never know this day and age....." From Starbucks we went on to "shop" at Blue Skies and The Big Much downtown. After a horrendous wreck on 27...we ended up downtown a lot later and didn't do much shopping as the boys just were not as interested as Allie and myself. Finally we headed down to meet Dee for lunch and Parker gave a concert up on stage singing, "Jesus Loves the Little Kids" and took repeated bows for the crowd of 3 ladies clapping. After lunch, we rode the city bus:) and got icecream at Ben & Jerry's. Very fun and delicious of course. I had chocolate therapy (the only true chocolate lover's ice cream), Allie had will power and got nothing, Parker got strawberry-kiwi sorbet and against my better judgement I let him. Of course when we got to the table Dee had to share her vanilla with her boys. She loved every minute of it.

Saturday was....well, awesome! We started celebrating the HOGS that morning as Parker and Will donned their Hog jerseys. Parker has a Matt Jones #9 jersey. Pretty cute. Lots of whooo pig sooooie practice runs. Parker made it to the actual game that night but his interest in the Hogs had wained. Building forts and burrito stores called "Welcome to Moe's" ruled the night (and weekend for that matter). Scott and Allie hosted an amazing Hog celebration......though Scott is the only one that made it to the end of the game...... Thanks again Mom, Allie and Scott for being so wonderful. Even though Will is having some major issues (hopefully teething so it will pass) and does not sleep well and I know you didn't either:) It was great to be together for such a long time.
PLUS I came home to an almost totally redone living room/dining room. The paint is complete and the floor is 75% complete. I'll send pics when I get a camera. In the meantime...maybe you guys can come see it yourself??

Life in St. Louis

John and I are doing great in St. Lewey. We have had dinner with Beth Ann and Jason a few times and I'm currently working on talking them into moving into a house that is on the same street as John and I, just a few blocks down. John is helping coach football at a private school called Westminster. He is also working in the Service Learning room for special ed. kids. God has truly provided everything we need here...even a free lawnmower through a guy I work with! I am really liking my job. Of course, there is a pretty tough learning curve I am trying to overcome, but the people I work with are great. I'm really close to making my first placement, which if I can close the deal, John and I can buy a much needed new mattress. That's all for now... Also, this is a pic of our new home. -Ann-

The First Post

I hope everyone will use this b/c I think it is great. Amanda, you finally got a new computer, so this should not be a problem I expect everyone to participate. No rules. Let me know what you all think. -Annie/Ann- whatever you prefer.
